How We Coach
Personal / Professional Coaching
Life changing and career altering results from Coaching take many forms and can be achieved in many ways. Our "typical" coaching relationship looks like this:
Initial Visit: A 90 minute to 2 hour discovery session where the coach and client meet face-to-face (if possible) to begin building the coaching relationship. The client's values, beliefs, past successes and failures, objectives, strengths and weaknesses, communication styles all may be explored. We'll also design how we work together - how you want the coach to hold you accountable, types of "structures" that work for you, logistics of the meetings, etc.
On-going: On a regular basis (typically once per week) the client and coach will meet, either via telephone or face-to-face. These sessions are usually 45-60 minutes in length. Each session will focus on one area of the client's life or career that puts them or keeps them on the path to setting or attaining a goal, turning a dream into a reality, or handling a stressful situation.
Usually, the client / coach relationship will last at least 3-5 months, but often a client will find a coach useful in their lives for a year or longer.
Additionally, a wide network of other resources is in place through Kansas City Transitions Group to assist our clients in areas requiring other specialized skills such as: attorneys, investment specialists, personal trainers, marriage and family counselors, small business support, consulting, and more.
