Corporate Offerings
Coaching is growing in popularity in corporate America for at least two reasons - it works for employees, and it works for the company!
Recent studies have shown that employees who have a coach make better managers; are better communicators; have less conflict, stress and anxiety; run a lower risk of leaving; and are more effective in their daily duties. These characteristics are the foundation for building the next generation of leaders in your organization.
When working with a coach, employees in transition - new managers, new hires to the organization, those struggling with performance, etc.- integrate and improve substantially faster than their counterparts who “go it alone”.
The offering of a coach is also becoming a sought-after benefit. A candidate considering your organization and a competitor will be more apt to join an organization that he or she feels is committed to their success. Providing a coach during the first 4-6 months of employment is an inexpensive but highly effective commitment to success.
Regular One-on-One Coaching Sessions
For employees who are looking to “work and live bigger”, setting up a standard 3-month coaching relationship allows that person to gain personal insights into how they communicate, how they are motivated (and how they motivate their team), how to stay focused and increase efficiency, etc. Each coach-client relationship is unique and addresses the areas of the client’s work life that they and/or their manager want to improve.
Multi-Attendee Seminars
At Kansas City Transitions Group we have seen the power of an organization that is committed to its values and a culture that supports those values. When employees and executives are connected with and committed to those values and that culture, the organization runs much smoother - focusing on the right things and letting go of time wasting activities that drag down the bottom line.
In ”Managing with Values and Personality” up to 12 managers and executives will be asked to focus on the values of the organization, the culture those values create, and the behaviors that result. There is a direct correlation from Values to Shareholder value. We’ll discuss this phenomenon and show the importance of values alignment. Additionally, each participant will understand their personality type, their “default” management style, and how to recognize and manage employees with other personality types. Other course content includes communicating “in the box” and “out of the box”; using DiSC with partners, vendors, and clients; and realizing the impact of personality types in everyday life such as at home and socially.
“Defining our Values and Culture” is a 1-day intensive workshop targeting your organization’s executive team. In this “first step”, the executive team will address the core values of the team, how those values affect the organization - culture, behaviors, activities, outside relationships, etc. - and how to begin changing those values or ingraining them throughout the organization. Each person’s values will be addressed, the current values of the organization and the “desired state” values for the future. Assessing and addressing values will impact employee turnover, attracting ”the right” new talent, building organizational relationships (including partnerships, mergers, and community-related), performance measurements, and has been proven to impact stock price.
In a 2-day seminar meant to occur during new hires’ first 2 months, “Welcome to the Team” builds on “Managing with Values and Personality” but includes discussions of critical topics such as identifying and meeting with your stake holders, building relationship equity fast, and defining success (internal and external). Changes to the “Managing with Values and Personality” curriculum helps new team members understand the culture of their new organization, align their values with those of the team, recognize pitfalls before they occur, and increase their opportunity for not only success, but excellence in their new role.
